A recent government survey revealed that “less than 20 percent of Americans” said they would be open to dating a transgender. Putting it another way is to say that almost one in five people would date a person who is transgender. Samantha Allen of The Daily Beast, reportedly said that this is “disappointing but not surprising.” Ben Shapiro, author of the article citing the government survey and citing Allen, made the following comment: “…the media’s full-scale assault on basic biology and logic have had an effect: the massive increase among young people who believe that if they only want to have sex with members of the opposite or the same sex, they’re doing something wrong.”
Quite to the contrary, tolerance can now be defined by some as forsaking one’s beliefs in order to be accepted by society. Tolerance is turning into an anything-goes mentality, with no conscience, no accountability, and no thought as to the consequences.
The results of grown children who were raised by gays or lesbians have started speaking out. Many of them are saying that they would have preferred to have a mom and a dad. Will the same be said about transgenders?
Twenty percent is no small minority. I find it very disappointing that this many people in the younger generation find this kind of relationship acceptable. Gender was established by God from the very beginning of time. Genesis 2:18 records that the Lord God said, “It is not good for man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” So, he created woman. There are reasons why there are men, and there are women, and it is not just procreation. Keep it that way, young people. I hope you, dear reader, are not in that 20 percent.
